The cumulative total of the first 4 days of Early Voting in #NYC is:
Do all states have this rule of not wearing anything that features candidates or party affiliation? I didnβt know that and wore my CAT LADIES FOR KAMALA when I went into the County Election Office to drop off my mail-in ballot. Since WA state is all mail/in voting, maybe we donβt have a dress code! Ironically, Ive been keeping track of what clothing is getting people kicked off airplanes nowβ¦
I honestly don't know! Maybe it's different by you because you can either drop off or mail in your ballot. You might want to check. Out of curiosity. I had actually bought a t-shirt that says "Kamala " but then I heard about not being able to wear anything political at the polling sites. Will save it for election day and when she is sworn in. I haven't heard about the issue with clothing on airplanes. Just at the voting sites.
I've got an entire 2024 Election Wardrobe with 12 different t-shirts that I wear everywhere. I have two that are anti-trump- only wear those in my yard when I'm gardening, but folks still see them.
I've had a couple of negative comments on my KAMALA tee-shirts, but a lot more complements & support.
I have 2 HARRIS/WALZ yard signs on my front porch.
I've also got print-outs of what Biden/Harris have done the last 4 years, comp of what trump/harris will do if they win!
Wow! You really covered all of the bases for the 2024 election! Way to go! π₯³π And all I have is one Kamala t-shirt! π I think I will start wearing my t-shirt beginning tomorrow! π€ππππ
Where we live we can't display anything like political signs. We live in a complex so we have to follow rules and regulations. π
@QueenOfEverything @Bliss @Spagesgallo1 I am in Wisconsin and knew about the no merch rule when votingβ¦but I do just dress in blue for elections. Just a plain blue shirt and blue jeans. And my toenails are currently blue! π
@AverageCitizen @Bliss @Spagesgallo1
You are a True Blue Democrat, right down to your currently BLUE toenails! β πΊπΈ β
@AverageCitizen @QueenOfEverything @Bliss
Good for you! Love the blue toenails! πI actually did the same thing when I voted on Tuesday. I wore a blue shirt and hoodie! π
@Spagesgallo1 @AverageCitizen @QueenOfEverything
OMG, π€¦
I was the only one at the pollsite who wore red. everyone else wore blue. Ugh! I think I'm gonna have to switch what I layed out to wear tomorrow: red/black plaid shirt over a black tee and black slacks.
Sigh! lesson learned. thanks!
@Bliss @AverageCitizen @QueenOfEverything
Really? Interesting because there was only one woman wearing a red blouse who was working the polls when we went. The others were wearing light blue shirts! So you aren't alone! Maybe it's a thing! Hope you found something to wear for today! Just remember, it doesn't matter what you are wearing. What you are actually doing matters far more! ππ«
@Bliss
No need to thank me at all! It is an honor and privilege to have cast my vote to help save our democracy!
I would have loved to be a fly on the wall to see how it played out!
Yes! I heard about this incident and others! Voters punching poll workers in the face because they were asked to remove their MAGA hats!
