@Bliss I am in Norway and I'll be sleeping so I'll have to watch parts of it on Youtube or else where like CoSo.
@Bliss I live in a tent in the woods, so I don't have a TV, which is fine with me, and I'm generally not interested in politics. I was largely tuned out until the Orange Shitclown rode down that stupid escalator in 2015. At that point, I had no choice but to pay attention and I've regretted it since.
@POOetryma love your feathery companion
Amazing!!!
@Bliss: None of those apply for me. I will watch clips post facto.
@thedisasterautist @Resister_Grandma
I'm sure it will be available across lots of channels on youtube.
Today I slept a lot and I caught up in 5 min with the protests in Chicago and with #KamalaHarris Bus Tour throughout #PA
No TV since 2013, but some YouTube highlights might be viewed.
@zenmudprod
What kinds of things have you done w/the extra time?
I've had no tv since 2019. I've used that time to:
•Increase knowledge of Astrophysics
•Improve my sewing skills
•Master Asian cooking
•Tried learnin Python a 2nd time
•Learned & mastered Astrology over 5yrs
•Renovated my Kitchen, bath & closet
•Researched my ancestry to the 1700's in Western Europe on 1 ancestral line, and to the 1700's in the Caribbean on 2 other lines.
•Did 1 yr of learning German which covid interrupted.
@Bliss
Cycling (although much less since 2020), because a hip replacement in December 2020 was after 1.5 years of waiting (for Medicare to kick in).
Your list is very impressive! I'm just enjoying "free thought" without bombardment of advertising and news distortions.
@zenmudprod
I envy you!
If I didn't have an ADHD brain that's probably what I would do. Since COVID meditation has been near impossible.
It evolved in this way: after being without a TV in Switzerland for several years, I finally bought one from a colleague, and brought it home.
Swiss TV channels only run commercials between shows (4 to 5 minutes); shows aren't interrupted. Movies usually get an intermission with ads.
When I returned, I didn't buy a TV for two years; when I did, it remained on TCM >95% of the times I used it.
Since about 2015, I haven't hooked it up; I only watch YouTube and Tubi content.
@Bliss If it's even televised here in Texas, as much of it as I can
