Primary Election Results for June 4, 2024... and some thoughts

Trump ran unopposed so he automatically won the GOP nomination.

Biden received the lowest number of votes of any primary race - 74%. Fox and Sinclair are dominant news sources in that state so I am not surprised at the results.

Reflecting on yesterday's primaries in , NJ, NM, & :
• Voter unhappiness with Biden is evident nationally - averaging 11% (except in SD)
• Trump has equal % of support as Biden.
• New Maga candidates are losing in US
• New progressive candidates are also losing
• Most incumbent Maga candidates are narrowly defeating normal GOP opponents
• Overall primary voter turnout is down

The Bottom-line: if Dems and Independents stay home the 🤡 will win.

@LnzyHou

the surprise of the night was the high percentage. I attribute that to the high amount if pro-trump press from nj media (especially fox) post conviction.

@Bliss And after this election, if we continue to vote for the "lesser evil", eventually the lesser evil will look and act like Trump, and the worse evil will be worse than that.

Vote Blue.

Then start looking good and hard at who is paying for those people's campaigns, so we can vote for the greater good next time instead of more of the corrupt and lazy offerings we've had up til now that allowed us to get to where we are.

@AskTheDevil

ppl always complain of choices during and after primaries. In college I made a tshirt that said:

"Newt Gingrich happens when only 42% of the electorate shows up to vote."
