The House of Representatives was served with a Grand Jury subpoena for internal documents and communications. Subpoena was issued by the Office of Special Counsel, U.S. Department of Justice.
Below is the pic of the announcement that was made before House. The Parliamentarian, as the Administrative Officer of the House, accepted the subpoena.
The co-conspirators, Rep: Scott Perry, Jim Jordan, et al., will soon be indicted.

If it’s the same case, sources told ABC News it relates to a House Democrat allegedly misusing government funds.
Where did you hear it was from the special council? Last I saw/read, it was just noted as from the DOJ.

Now Im seeing unconfirmed reports that the DOJ subpoena served to House Parlementarian was for a Democrat's docs and communication files. We shall see as things unfold.
