@jasod I agree! I don't ghost people, instead I tell them I'm about to terminate contact and communication with them and the reasons why. This is an extreme step and the reasons falls into 2 categories: extremely negative individual or verbally abusive to me and/or others (this includes pets).

@Bliss I have had numerous people not be compatible with me for numerous reasons. That is what dating is for, right? Same goes with me. But having the courage to tell someone that isn't heroic. It doesn't take that much. And it shows the other person the respect they deserve as a human.

Cold feet? cool. Just say that. Figured out that dating a single parent means you are secretly dating a whole family? 100% understood. But say that.

@jasod as a former single parent (they're all grown now) I can relate. On the flip side, ghosting for me meant that the person did not have the social, emotional or psychological skills necessary to be in a happy healthy relationship, so I dodged a bullet.
