The death of google stadia (Though sad) isn’t at all surprising to me.
Game fly tried streaming gaming and in 2014 came to the conclusion that it wasn’t a profitable (And in most cases not technologically viable) option for gamers.
One of the largest limiting factors is that unlike the majority of industrialized nations, American internet isn’t fast enough for most people to stream games.
And even beyond that, I have real concerns about media preservation and consumer protections.
@dreki If you live in a city (Especially one with fiber internet) you can usually pull that much sought after 60 frames.
But if you live in a small town you can expect to pull much less.
And if you’re in the country or outskirts of most small towns….just forget it.
@BlastBunny My experience with Shadow, Stadia, and GFN is that game streaming is very possible, and exhilarating given the hardware you can take advantage of.
