The main difference is we WERE attacked...by someone in that area. Just couldn't come out and say we knew who. Russia does not have this excuse. Nyet.

Iraq did have WMD, and they used it. Both before and after 2003.
Saddam was unquestionably an evil doer (he was also allied with Putin, on a personal level).
The irony here remains Putin creating and backing Ukrainian neo-nazis and then attacking them with Russian neo-nazis in 2014.
