Rudy's got a 20-year-old "communications director" who's still taking college classes (IN COMMUNICATIONS!) online.
"Every day is incredibly fluid," is probably not the very best self-job description a "communications director" with a VERY thin resume could possibly come up with, I'd think, but okay.

@Blackwolf @mcfate just curious though.. what did she do? I always wondered how she’s ever find work again. I know she wrote a book but I was out of the country for a lot of that and being that I never watched much tv, I didn’t follow much. If I can see how it’s going to affect people in the long term, I generally do dig a little more
@Museek @Blackwolf I don't get the impression she's somehow made her fortune as the result of having given Bill Clinton a blowjob, but correct me if I've missed out on something.
@mcfate @Blackwolf i don’t know. I seem to remember something about her making handbags.. that’s a distant memory though.
@Blackwolf @Museek First, hardly anyone makes a lot of money from a book deal. Second, you seem to be terribly concerned with whom she's having sex.
Honestly, if I thought about Monica Lewinski six times in the past five years, it's probably a lot. Is she actually relevant to something? What? How?
@mcfate @Blackwolf that’s just it.. I wasn’t concerned with their sex lives. However, after I had daughters of my own and then the experience of seeing a young girl coming of age, struggling, it changed my perspective a bit. Why were they blaming a 22 year old when the responsibility lies squarely with the powerful man?
@mcfate @Blackwolf we treat men as if all sense leaves them if sex is proffered. That’s a flimsy excuse...

@mcfate @Blackwolf we joke about it.. and admittedly I chuckled but there’s something bigger going on. Grooming is a real thing. Of course they’ll try to get by with it because they’ve always been allowed to. Maybe that’s what needs to change. Maybe they need to wear the scarlet letter, instead.
My proposal that if you folks all make me a billionaire, I will (among a variety of other commitments) start up a nationwide foundation offering free Krav Maga lessons to girls — JUST girls — aged seven and up.
(I will also change my name to "Oliver Warbucks" and hire sky-writers to toss up "SURRENDER DOROTHY!" over Washington, DC seven days a week.)
Will you skywrite it over the Morman temple off the beltway?? One of my fav childhood memories was of passing the bridge grafittied with it with the temple visible in the background.
Tattoo convicted Rapists, etc with a black band on their ring finger? People already look there to see if they're married, make it the same for that?
I liked the bit in "Snow Crash" where the ex-convict had "POOR IMPULSE CONTROL" tattooed on his forehead.
@mcfate @Museek then let's have more women as CEOS and presidents :) If men can't think with a hard on then they have no business in power or decision making. It's an excuse for doing what one feels entitled to. The reason why we have tickets if a person ignores a stop sign is because without consequences, human nature ignores rules. Men CAN think with a hard on but it's not what they WANT to do in the moment :)
@Blackwolf @mcfate what do you think drives people like that? At any age? Do you think it’s the result of not having parental intervention? Being very independent at a young age?
I was "very independent at a young age", but I never turned into a full-blown con artist.
I had my flings with minor criminality in my misspent youth, but it didn't last long, the hours are terrible, and the pay actually sucks.
@Blackwolf @mcfate makes sense.
I'm not sure who was arguing that point you're refuting. I mentioned Anna "Delvey" Sorokin, and she wasn't ANYONE'S "hapless victim".
I don't see anyone taking a strong stance on the hapless victimhood of Giuliani's seemingly completely-unqualified "communications" director.

Only thing I'll say about the stop sign: Every crime, no matter how small, carries the Death Penalty if you resist hard enough. Litter, you get a ticket. Don't show up for the court date, you get a fine. Don't pay the fine, they arrest you. Don't wanna go with the officer because arrest for a littering ticket is stupid, they kill you.
Not enough blood for both heads at once?
🤷♂️
Don't ask me. 😆
@Blackwolf @mcfate @Museek
@mcfate in this case there was plenty of money involved in book and subsequent appearances on Barbara Walters etc. She didn't get to 1.5 million worth by being a white house intern, right?
@Blackwolf First, I don't particularly know that she's worth $1.5 million, and I don't have any particularly insight into what she's been doing over the past more-than-two-decades that might have earned her that.
I'm still baffled why any of this is of interest, or what it's meant to be relevant to. Some idiot got six figures to make potato salad, should I be MORE or LESS distressed here?
@mcfate I don't know why I'm discussing it either, to be honest. I'm bored at work I think.
@Museek "Tripp secretly taped their conversations and later convinced Monica to save any gifts given to her by Clinton. The recordings of the conversations between Clinton and Lewinsky plus the gifts were handed over to Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr"...doesn't sound naive to me.
@Blackwolf That sounds like an older woman was advising her. At some point she made the choice to move forward with it and expose him. Am uncertain of her reasons but I’m almost positive it was a very confusing time... and I’ll bet that there were a lot of people advising her who had something against him, too.. not necessarily her best interests.
@Museek never be certain with assumptions. All I know is only she knows if she was confused or not. We can put our own spin on it but no one knows except her.
@Museek @mcfate being female and also the subject of power differences, I totally get your point. She used the money to get a book and get plastic surgery. Now tell me, if you or I did something like she did, what is worse...what C did with his power or the fact that Ms Tripp, Ken Starr and Republicans exposed every sordid detail for the WORLD to know about what she and president did...? What was THAT ok and not an abuse of power???
@Blackwolf @mcfate i didn’t follow it too closely, tbh. I just think that most kids aren’t really fully mature until they’re about 25. I also tire of people excusing full grown men, laying it all at a young woman’s feet. My opinion, at the time, was that it was their business, not ours. Now that I’ve had daughters, my opinion has changed a bit. He needs to have owned what he did. We all make bad choices and they were consenting adults, it’s true... but the power dynamic was a key factor
