@Bix I think the bigger concern would be those in military leadership or the ranks who do follow Trump’s illegal, un American orders because they like the orders and/or the power.
I recall the 2010 (2011?) "Arab Spring" and the quote of an Egyptian General (Paraphrased):
"The Egyptian Army will never turn our arms against our beloved Egyptian people..."
