27 April, Slavyansk-na-Kubani, Russia - local oil refinery halts operations due to UAV attack. Russian sources mention at least 10 unidentified UAVs slamming into the facility. Most likely serious damage.
You know, when I read stories on Ukraine in my newsfeed, it’s all doom and gloom about how Ukraine is losing the war. I wish I had a much better picture of what’s really going on.
Our news media has absurdly poor coverage of the war considering its long term implications for democracy.
@evamarie
It is heartbreaking, the rape of Ukraine, but Russia has shown what a failure of a country it is under Putin.

#PutinIsaWarCriminal should be in The Hague. Also, he is killing Russia's men.
Pekka Kallioniemi:
Imagine killing/wounding 450 000 of your own countrymen just to try and create a legacy and name for yourself as a conqueror.
There is no way that any of the temporarily occupied territories in Ukraine will ever bow down to Putin. The Kremlin can only lose in this senseless war.
Interestingly, Bonaparte's losses numbered in the hundreds of thousands by the end of his quest to create an Empire, and it didn’t end well for him. Here’s hoping history repeats itself.
@evamarie
He has destroyed his country,
its industry and
male population base.
Yes, and I understand the entire Russian economy is now war based. He can’t afford to win or lose the war in Ukraine.
@Bix
Yes, exactly: if the Russian coalition comprising China, Iran, Belarus, North Korea etc wins in Ukraine, they are not stopping there. They’ll pick off the European countries starting with old Soviet Satellites.
It’s going to be ongoing war an Western instability until the U.S. is left with few allies.
People need to understand the bigger picture.
