I don't want a single person to be forced to give birth. As a parent, the job is too hard for it not be one that a person wants.

Also, 100%, let the OB/GYNs decide if the mother's health is in danger, not the courts. Some Repub states have this system.

@Bix the courts are both ignorant of gynecological science and far too slow to be involved in any such decision process (including banning abortion, which is a purely limited sect religious stance anyway)

@Bix Better doctors should decide than judges, politicians, and police. But really the woman should decide.

A doctor can explain, e.g., that there's a 10% chance of maternal death, 15% fetal death, 15% severe fetal disability, 20% chance of sterility. She might even be able to explain what a 2 year life expectancy with those disabilities might mean for child and family. Only the woman can decide whether she's willing to take those chances.

All else should support her.
