While the idea that “there is no such thing as a former KGB agent” is applicable, people referring to Russian supplicants of gangster boss Pootie are eliding everything that’s happened since the fall of the USSR. A distinction without a difference? Perhaps to those who profit from autocratic/oligarchic “capitalism.” 😉
