I love it when people tell me I should move to somewhere better to improve my situation, as if 1, I hadn't thought of that before & 2, it's just as easy as that, without money, to get up & move.

Speaks to a certain amount of privileged mindset.

@Astartiel honestly, I used to throw a bag over my shoulder and just jet around the country with whatever little money I had in my pocket. It took a long time for me to understand why that isn't an option for everyone.

@thegamerauthor Yeah, my younger brother did the same in his 20's & it wasn't something I EVER saw as a safe option for me, as a woman. 🤷‍♀️

@Astartiel the other side; some people are not strangers to showing up in a new town with nothing but a suitcase. You have oblivious privilege on one side, desperate survival on the other.

@C_H_Antony Even having the confidence to just showing up in a new place with just a suitcase is a sort of privilege, as it speaks to a belief you will find or have employment that will keep you not sleeping under an overpass. 🤷‍♀️
