@ballpark_frank I just saw a Carol Burnett skit on her old show about this film. Steve Martin was on & his character was named Richard Dry-face. He "redecorated" her table with outdoor plants & mashed potatoes. I believe that scene on the movie involves a lost ocean ship found in the desert... Lol

Close Encounters was Richard Dreyfuss, and his "Devil's Tower" in the mashed potatoes, and tossing yard plants and bushes through his house window to sculpt the tower in his living room..
However this screenshot is from "The Philadelphia Experiment"...
(But - Now I really would like to check out that Carol Burnett Skit... )
