Seven-year-old children work in the cobalt and copper mines, where covetable ‘healing’ stones such as citrine and smoky quartz abound. International NGO Global Witness found that the TALIBAN earns up to $20m a year from Afghanistan’s lapis mines, lapis lazuli being, as crystal websites explain, one of the best stones for activating psychic abilities. It is impossible to know for sure if your crystal was obtained via an environmental and human rights horror show Http://www.theguardian.com/global/2019/jun/16/are-crystals-the-new-blood-diamonds-the-truth-about-muky-business-of-healing-stones
wow!
I doubt it but that’s just the way it is, was… @JeniRizio
The Center is in the US? How do they get here right now?
That is very nice. Yes, it’s very sad what happens, many facets of sadness, @JeniRizio
@Armchaircouch Thank you so much, agreed. Yes it is here in my area, and named simply "The Center" just how you typed it.
oh ok, thats nice did you end up going? if so what was it like? @JeniRizio
@Armchaircouch It's a weekly or monthly thing I think. I've not been back there to help out since I lost my brother on the 4th
@Armchaircouch I hate child labor. Had I known, I would have declined her gift. I just wanted a pretty stone. Those poor families. This week I was offered an opportunity to help Afghani women and children craft at our refugee center where I already volunteer in the adult learning rooms (ESOL). I'm seriously going to try and see if I can do this. Those poor folks have been through HELL.
