frenz. when you open a container that has a plastic sheath underneath the lid to you keep the sheath attached the entire time?!
or do you rip it off and toss it right away, and only use the lid from then on??
I leave it attached for some reason i feel like it gives the food an extra layer of air protection ๐ but Iโm not sure thatโs trueโฆ
dairy-free ricotta btw by Kite Hill, very good ๐
@Armchaircouch I keep it attached too
ok! Is it cause you think it adds another layer of air protection? or other? lol @SupplySgt
@Armchaircouch another layer
@Armchaircouch ๐
TOSS IT!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GD TOSS IT!!!
๐๐ Oh DEAR @th3j35t3r
(Also... live a little! Be crazy!)
@th3j35t3r Yes, this! Once opened, it's just another surface for mold and bacterial cultures to grow on!
@Armchaircouch I remove it because it annoys me ๐คฃ๐คฃ
it annoys me too!! I donโt know why i donโt toss it!! ๐ญ @stueytheround
Oh now you've gone and torn it. I read an article once about somebody who did that and the very next day they couldn't stop shitting their pants.
Good luck though!
!!!!
๐๐๐ I SWEAR if that happens, yโall will be the 2nd to know ๐๐ @th3j35t3r
@Armchaircouch ๐
think they figured it out in the end that their potato salad lacked adequate 'air protection' and some nasty got in their and cause the rapid turd evacuations.
Again, good luck!
(They laugh about it now, but it took a couple of years to get there.)
RAPID TURD EVAC NEVER FUNNY.
๐๐ญ๐ @th3j35t3r
Well!!! See!! thatโs believable!! gosh darn you!!
I canโt REATTACH THE PLASTIC @th3j35t3r
That's it then. The hex is upon you.. There's nothing you can do. Book a few days off work in advance. ๐
*liked this post only so I could UNLIKE IT*
๐ @th3j35t3r
@Armchaircouch @th3j35t3r Science!
right!? Ok look we need to get MythBusters on the phone STAT @sheseala @th3j35t3r
@Armchaircouch I usually rip it off and throw it away as soon as I open it. I find if there's anything stuck to the film it dries out and falls in otherwise.
hm. thatโs a good reason, too. @nonayadambidnes
@Armchaircouch I had a bad yogurt experience once lol.
Wait. Because you tore it off or kept it on?! ๐ญ @nonayadambidnes
@Armchaircouch Because I kept it on.
O.O
Thank you for sharing your wisdom. A cautionary tale!!! And glad you are now ok ๐ฉ @nonayadambidnes
@Armchaircouch
Finding a crunchy thing in your yogurt (when you didn't put anything crunchy in) makes all sorts of thoughts go through your head. ๐คข
oh noooo that is so bad!! @nonayadambidnes
@Armchaircouch It gives you zero protection, makes it harder for the lid around it to seal properly, and once unsealed, the inner surface just becomes a new surface for microorganisms to colonise, and for dust particles to be attracted to.
Throw it away with a light heart and easy conscience.
lol! I tossed it with reckless abandon!
too right about the new surface for microorganisms, as demonstrated by a story told by a naut on this thread about their yogurtโฆ ๐ฉ
I shall toss all plastics from here on out! @AskTheDevil
@Armchaircouch Yay! Reckless abandon! : )
๐ค
I mean, it's not reckless, really. It's very responsible. And you recked it!
True true haha! โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ @AskTheDevil
PHEW. Ok
I TORE IT OFF.
yโall really are an influence to be reckoned with!! ๐ Itโs in the garbage!!
