frenz. when you open a container that has a plastic sheath underneath the lid to you keep the sheath attached the entire time?!

or do you rip it off and toss it right away, and only use the lid from then on??

I leave it attached for some reason i feel like it gives the food an extra layer of air protection ๐Ÿ˜‚ but Iโ€™m not sure thatโ€™s trueโ€ฆ

dairy-free ricotta btw by Kite Hill, very good ๐Ÿ‘

PHEW. Ok
I TORE IT OFF.
yโ€™all really are an influence to be reckoned with!! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Itโ€™s in the garbage!!

ok! Is it cause you think it adds another layer of air protection? or other? lol @SupplySgt

@th3j35t3r Yes, this! Once opened, it's just another surface for mold and bacterial cultures to grow on!

@Armchaircouch

@Armchaircouch

Oh now you've gone and torn it. I read an article once about somebody who did that and the very next day they couldn't stop shitting their pants.

Good luck though!

!!!!
๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I SWEAR if that happens, yโ€™all will be the 2nd to know ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ @th3j35t3r

@Armchaircouch

think they figured it out in the end that their potato salad lacked adequate 'air protection' and some nasty got in their and cause the rapid turd evacuations.

Again, good luck!

@Armchaircouch

(They laugh about it now, but it took a couple of years to get there.)

Well!!! See!! thatโ€™s believable!! gosh darn you!!

I canโ€™t REATTACH THE PLASTIC @th3j35t3r

@Armchaircouch

That's it then. The hex is upon you.. There's nothing you can do. Book a few days off work in advance. ๐Ÿ‘

@Armchaircouch I usually rip it off and throw it away as soon as I open it. I find if there's anything stuck to the film it dries out and falls in otherwise.

O.O

Thank you for sharing your wisdom. A cautionary tale!!! And glad you are now ok ๐Ÿ˜ฉ @nonayadambidnes

@Armchaircouch
Finding a crunchy thing in your yogurt (when you didn't put anything crunchy in) makes all sorts of thoughts go through your head. ๐Ÿคข

@Armchaircouch It gives you zero protection, makes it harder for the lid around it to seal properly, and once unsealed, the inner surface just becomes a new surface for microorganisms to colonise, and for dust particles to be attracted to.

Throw it away with a light heart and easy conscience.

lol! I tossed it with reckless abandon!
too right about the new surface for microorganisms, as demonstrated by a story told by a naut on this thread about their yogurtโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

I shall toss all plastics from here on out! @AskTheDevil

@Armchaircouch Yay! Reckless abandon! : )

๐Ÿ–ค

I mean, it's not reckless, really. It's very responsible. And you recked it!
