💔 the last three baby birds were stolen in the day, maybe a squirrel or a crow… the empty nest and the silence is awful… the daddy came looking for them twice last night :(

my daughter convinced me that it’s possible they all just flew away. The one that flew away on Tuesday still had the crazy fur on his head, so even though the three remaining did, also, it’s still conceivable they could also fly.

@Armchaircouch They fly away quickly, they do two or three jumps and then they fly. We used to have wrens, and they went fast.
@misslovelymess I sure hope so. I think I was even more thrown for a loop because of how the mom and dad came and looked for them a few times.
@Armchaircouch Are they holding the site to make some more babies?
Hopefully they are off on their own. The most dangerous time for the babies is the jumping time. Once they hit the ground, predators are a real threat.
i’m not sure if they’re holding it? I don’t know how to tell. Their old nest is in and emptied out lamp structure made of iron hanging from my balcony roof, overhang.
Yes, I walked around a bit yesterday to make sure they were not on the ground, the only way for them to fall would have been to land on my balcony, but theoretically they could have fallen off the edge of the balcony, one floor down onto the dirt. Hopefully not… or if they did hopefully they flew away after @misslovelymess
