My Monday is not starting well. Work had a big screw-up over the weekend, and it's still not fixed. I'm frustrated because I can't get useful information about what is going on, and my users are going to be unhappy about the situation.

Got an e-mail today from the MD Board of elections confirming my information for mail-in ballot. I know my state is good for this.

But not every state is. This election cycle in the US is once again very important. Check your voter registration, make sure you're good to go, and get your mail-in ballot if you desire. Don't let the rat fuckers take away your vote.

They only win when they cheat. Be better citizens.

In this the year of our Dark Lord Revan 2024, there is ZERO excuse for a full-screen game to be locked to a monitor. If I can move a window, I should be able to then full-screen view it ON THAT MONITOR. Games much older will even let me select the monitor to run on (thank you, FFXIV). So please do not tell me that's not a viable feature. Multiple monitors exist, allow for it.

Let me be clear. I'm not talking about a few minutes tacked on to the pizza delivery due to traffic. I'm talking about the "you must be home to sign for your package", but they keep changing when I need to be there by hours, or even days.

It's like shooting an arrow at a blank target, drawing a circle around it, and proclaiming they hit the target. It's crap, and it should never be tolerated.

Delivery services that keep moving delivery times later and later while claiming that it's "on time" should be prosecuted for fraud.

Reasonably productive Monday morning of work for me. Got some software installed, and may have inadvertently made it available to lots more people (good thing). Then massaged a server back up when it decided a recent power blip was not to its liking. Then got 20% of my Security+ CE renewal done.

Whew, time to feed myself something tasty. Leftover steak and bread makes for a tasty truncheon.
