On this, National Video Game Day, I'm going to say something that may not go over well...

I am not enjoying Baldur's Gate 3.

It feels abusive on just about every level. Socially, emotionally, morally, and ethically. I want to like it, but quite honestly just not doing it for me.

Work is chaotic. For most of the people I work with, their access badges expired, and the paperwork to renew is once again not finished. So a lot of key people cannot do their job. I'm able, but I'm not in a position to do their work. I'm offering what I can to assist, but mostly staying out of the way unless otherwise asked.

On this day, please do not forget how 22 years ago a horrible event was used as justification for very strong anti-Muslim sentiment in the US and around the world. No, we have never made that right.

Overnight, 1% completed. Yes. This is going to take that long to complete. Yes, this is a paid service. Yes, I'm willing to pay money to someone else to remove it all. If I'm going, I'm taking it all down (as much as I can) before I go.

Spending my Friday morning with work-mandated Active Shooter training. Because we have to live in a world like this.

Yesterday kinda sucked for me. Today isn't feeling so great. But I have to hold that things will get better. Most of my stress is made in my head.

I was writing a response to an article someone posted. But then I realized that it would have zero impact. So, muted the person instead. I no longer have time to try to explain to people why some things are outright problematic, and there is ZERO room to use it as any basis of conversation.

Not everything is a "problem to be fixed". Some things just are.

"They Live" and "The Matrix" are the same story.

Seems odd, but why would you make a 30 minute "starting" screen with general crowd mirmuring as the audio?
