So there is a very real chance that I will start off the new year in employment limbo. Not in a bad way, just in a "the contract paperwork isn't done" kind of way. I don't know what that's going to entail. Hoping it's just some bridge approval to continue working, with some remote work complexity. I've been assured things are okay. Still, it's a touch stressful.
🤞 paperwork will be done sooner rather than later. Hubby faces that a lot and it can be a pita, especially if another time sensitive offer comes in.

Minds are made up. It's all just doing the work. I don't begrudge anyone feeling ready for holiday leave. Just don't leave me hanging.
So true. That has always been a major negative in his line of work - contract work. Now if they want you somewhere at a moments notice (even two days before Christmas) they expect you to BE THERE. Sucks.

I get it. Hubby just accepted short term work with a friend to help catchup with work load exactly for that reason. No one wants to make up their mind until after the holidays.
