I love mine. Plus, there was an episode of "This Old House" where they compared how well induction worked vs electric coil and gas. The induction actually boiled water fastest, and used significantly less overall energy. Worth the investment if you're looking to use less. Plus, easy to clean as there is nothing for stuff to get into while cooking.
This is the way. I particularly like the ease of cleaning.
We replaced our downstairs HVAC system when the old one abruptly broke down last winter. Spent more on a high-efficiency, variable speed system, but are saving 40% on electricity this summer.
@ArcturusSaDiablo What're you making?

How do you like the induction stove? Friends have an induction "hotplate" that they use on a wood table out on their deck. Not a fire hazard and cool in hot weather.
Strikes me as an idea whose time has come.
