Something that came to mind again today. The criminal justice system actually rewards failure. "Attempted" charges almost always carry lesser penalties than if the perp actually succeeded.

@ArcturusSaDiablo Also, premeditated, planned murder is given a harsher sentence than when someone flies off the handle in the moment and fill someone in a fit.
Who would you think is more dangerous? A person who plans out killing one person, or a person who might fly off the handle and kill anyone any time?
