#Biden handled this the right way. He denied the McCarthy the 1-on-1 McCarthy wanted to make himself look important. McCarthy will be one of four, and he won't be the senior Republican in the room, that will be McConnell who will temper McCarthy's extremism and ineptitude.

This is the same McConnell who spent 8 years trying to make Obama a one-term President, and denied most Democrat-led bills coming from the House. McConnell is just trying to get out of his final term with his head still attached to his shoulders.
@ArcturusSaDiablo Well, McConnell and Biden go way back. McConnell doesn't need the wingnut vote to stay in power. If McConnell and Biden cut a deal, it will put McCarthy in a bad light.
That said ... We might get to see the first vote of no confidence in McCarthy from his wingnut faction later this month if he doesn't crash the economy like they want.
