"Biden would do well to remember the Powell Doctrine, formulated by the late secretary of state Colin L. Powell. He counseled against getting involved in “halfhearted half-wars” and argued that when the United States uses force, it should do so with overwhelming might to win. The same doctrine should apply to military assistance..."

Making your summer travel plans? Boycott Russia just reported that Marriott has announced it is suspending operations in Russia.
Accor, InterContinental (Holiday Inn and more) and Radisson are still giving tax money to Putin.
Check before making reservations that where you are staying is not owned by one of these corporations. Not one penny for Putin!

@Numerous_Piccolo_564 I mean, why wouldn't that happen in the US?
@AnitaLL 😂 🤣 😂
I think we should give it a try. You know, see what happens.
@BrianHjelleVirologist YAAAAASSSSS!!!! THANK YOU!!!
The world is coming apart at the seams, and THIS is what keeps popping up everywhere!!
whew... thanks, my dude. I really needed to get that off my chest! 😅 ✌️
@TitaniumDruid I have a bunch of them waiting. Of course, I live in northern MN, which means that our overnight lows could be in the 60's this time of year, or the 40s. Aaaaaaand, this year they chose the 40s for the next week....GAAAAAHHHH!!!
@jgold Sweet baby jesus...you are not kidding! 😳
@BrianHjelleVirologist Yeah, they do make hunting rounds for the AR-15, but like you said, it's far from ideal. Especially when there are so many other rifles that fit that need so much better.
IMHO, it's basically trying to tie a Radio Flyer to the back of a tank and claim it's a school bus in order to give it legitimacy. Ok, probably not the best metaphor...lol!! Buy yeah, I think ya'll can get my point.
@BrianHjelleVirologist They might think that, but they'd be wrong. The velocity leaves a crater of an exit, which means that you're going to lose a lot of meat if you don't have a perfect shot. And, the range is not great. Especially if you're hunting out west, it would be tough to get close enough to get a clean shot without spooking whatever is being hunted.
Your theory holds. Anyone bringing an AR-15 to the field is likely an idiot who's going to end up shooting someone.
@BrianHjelleVirologist As a hunter, I'll add that if you can't get a clean shot using a rifle with a 4 round clip, you really have no business out in the field, anyway.
AR-15s are well made for their designed task - shooting large numbers of rounds rapidly. This is a military weapon, not a hunting rifle, and absolutely not a toy. There is no justifiable reason for the public to own these.
@NorthernInvader I think we can all take a lesson from this. We've tried reason, appealing to empathy and humanity, shaming...nothing works with these people.
Maybe it's time to start taking the gloves off.
@Smersh Right?! It's like they forgot they're 'Murican! Really, really northern 'Murican!
@bit Thanks, man! That really cleared things up! 😆 👍
@MommaJ All I know is that it's from the manufacturer of the AR-15, so ArmaLite?
A whole lot of sites are down in the past hour, including the bird and Amazon. Anyone have any insights?
just chillin' with the wolves in the woods of northern Minnesota.
