@duglop Growing pains. CoSo has exploded in the past week or so, and Jester is a one-man operation. It's a herculean effort, but it's improving daily. I'd give it a day, and then drop it in the jivochat if it's not resolved by then.
The term "pro-life" needs to be erased from the lexicon. It's gaslighting, pure and simple.
It's forced-birth. Let's start calling it what it is.

@San_Ban First of all, they should have gotten control of the message from the start by presenting abortion for what it is, healthcare, rather than acting like they were ashamed to even say the word. They needed to normalize it, and they did the opposite.
Secondly, they should have started working to codify it the second they realized that the right was gunning for it. They decades to do this, but failed.

For most our history US has mainly spread democracy and civil rights.
We have now become a nation spreading an end of civil rights and authoritarianism. Overturning #rvw is a significant part of that.

Everyone's screaming about how "voting blue" will solve all of our problems, and the DNC is all over this. They are the savior to women everywhere.
Oh, btw, the DNC in Texas is backing the forced-birth male Dem candidate over the pro-choice woman in the primaries.
Yeah, vote blue. I mean, it's the only alternative to tfg. But please don't think that the Dems will solve this. In 50 years, they've done NOTHING to codify Roe. Let's not pretend they're not also the problem.
@drwineau It looks like the week of 8-14 May is going to be when things really start happening. I'm not hearing much about the "what" of it other than a planned march in Washington on the 14th.
I'm happy to hear that the justices are losing their peace and quiet. The @#$% don't deserve it.
But yeah, I absolutely agree. We have to be channel this pragmatically and productively. This is literally life and death now.

@April_Z There are protests in most cities today, at courthouses and at the homes of the justices. The genie is out of the bottle. We have to use the energy productively.

I was a little pissed that the SCOTUS building wasn't on fire when I turned on the news, but I'm sure we'll come up with more constructive ways of dealing with this shit.
