It's not a very lively social network, but it is kind and seem to be safer than most. But the point is to socialize and this account is not feeling it.
I came here to try something other than Twitter, made a new theme'd Twitter account on the same day as this one and it already has 1k followers.
@Appleseed How many of those are bots though?
One thing I had to adjust to was the lack of dopamine hits on CoSo - you have to check notifications to see follower counts, you don't see boost and like counts. It's definitely an adjustment.
@cmajuscula It's all about engagement and interaction here.This is why a lot of the usual suspects, engagement/outrage harvesters on the likes of Twitter don't use CoSo,they can't just drop a post and wait to see how many like/boost it. @Appleseed
@FrankCannon @cmajuscula not doing it for dopemine, glory hunting, etc. Just testing the social network.
So far, my honest opinion, is like drinking flat spring water. Natural but lifeless.

I'm not really here to be influenced or to interact with "big names."
I see this space as a more personal Reddit or a bigger Discord with people who have a variety of interests. I'm not on the influencer SNs (Twitter, FB/IG, Tiktok).
@cmajuscula 100%,I got bored with all the shouting,hustling and general whipping up of people.Ended up muting them.And I carried that habit over here.Some drifted over but there's no desire from any of them to be part of the community here. @Appleseed
@Appleseed Well,that's entirely your choice,if it's not for you that's sort of how it works.Once you get the feel for the place though,you'll see the value in just popping over to be yourself and appreciate the community."Influencers" don't really like it in all honesty,no algorithim to surf and to be honest,a lot of people came here to get away from their constant bombardment of outrage and the whole "look at me" thing.
