It’s #VeteransDay today. And there’s a nice little procession happening adorned with corporate logos (Amazon, Intel, etc.) and… whatever, that’s fine. I want the people who were willing to risk everything for this country to have their day. But… at the same time… are we going to talk about funding the VA healthcare system? Are we going to do something to reduce veteran homelessness? Because those are very real issues that can’t be addressed with a “thank you for your service” & a corporate logo.
Sharing this just because they were pushing 70 at the time. The Planetones still do the occasional performance now and they are pushing 80.
