Even Alien Resurrection had Sigourney Weaver doing a boss dunk, and Winona Ryder.
Neither of which really compensate for how truly shit it was, but at least it was something.
And Ron Perlmann. Bonus points. You always get automatic bonus points for casting Ron Perlmann.
And let's face it, it was a really awful movie. But so was Alien 3, it was depressing, it was grim, it was just awful. Not one single light hearted moment. It was cinematic torture. Way too much dystopia.
Great actors, but a truly awful movie that took a huge shit over the previous two movies.
We will skip over "Resurrection" because REASONS.
It had truly great characters who were entirely wasted and also the most laughable travesty of the Alien ever.
Note that I refuse to use the term "xenomorph" for the Alien because that was just one throw away line in Cameron's movie and people who do not understand Greek think it's an actual species name.
And that really annoys me.
It's just "the alien".
And then, well, you know, you had the AvP movies.
Who the fuck came up with that idea.
Ok so the first one, I dunno, that was fun I guess.
But the second was just beyond stupid.
We shall ignore those movies.

Those started out as a graphic novel, which was kinda awesome. The movies do not resemble it at all.
