My friend just started up his own label called AVANT NIGHT and tonight is the show celebrating his first release (Sleepytime Gorilla Museum’s first album in 10 years). So it’s an evening of avant-prog-metal. 20 minutes into the first band and i’ve already heard ALL the time signatures. The other bands are Isolation Tank Ensemble and Cheer Accident. All recommended for those so inclined.

Exactly. These are ridiculously talented players and they are squeezing a lot of stuff into those songs.
