1985. The year of the one-hit wonder, but also the year The Smiths changed pop music in England. Rush records one of the first fully digital albums, Simply Red releases perhaps the greatest ballad of all time, Sting becomes a solo artist (as does Tommy Shaw and Roger Daltry) and the world is introduced to Whitney Houston. And oh yes, a guy I worked with in a record store gets signed with his band, Lone Justice.

Aha! A spotify playlist!
Excellent.

'85 was a huge music year for me, as I saw a few college bands in MN such as The Phones and The Wallets. (funny that).

Imma have a listen. I like your very first song is from X.

Cheers!

@Animeraider
Saw X perform many times. Love that you’re leading with Burning House of Love.

@Islagran I am a HUGE fan of X. I've seen them live 3 times, 2 of those in Los Angeles itself.

@Animeraider
Good times. I could swear the Red Hot Chili Peppers opened for X at the Moore Egyptian in Seattle.
