My 1971 playlist is kind of special to me. This is the year I went to my first rock concert that I decided I wanted to go, instead of just going with my parents. Three Dog Night.
This is the year Riders on the Storm came out, and I was so entranced by this song. My mom was heavily into jazz and that trance-like feeling that this song and Low Spark of High Heeled Boys gives is something I love to this very day. Also, face it, American Pie.
