When I hit 1970 I realized that would no longer be able to keep my playlists to just 20 songs. So much good stuff and so many different directions to go - pop, R&B, Progressive, folk, rock, metal, jazz... It seemed like the Beatles died so that everything else could be born. Just about every song on this list takes pop music in a new direction, and I loved it.
