@Ocean_Cowboy - Sure. There is already a minimum #age #limit (varies by office), so why not a maximum. Maybe 70 at time of election, with an absolute max exit at 76 (including SCOTUS).
In response to "SOME 80yo's are sharp," SOME 30yo's are sharp enough to be POTUS, and some 17yo's.
Iโd like to see term limits for senators and representatives, two terms like we have for presidents.
@CJLavoie @Ocean_Cowboy - I agree with 12 years max for Senators, but why only 4 years for Representatives?
@CJLavoie @Ocean_Cowboy How about #SCOTUS?
@AmerLiberal @CJLavoie That's a whole other discussion! :D
I donโt have an opinion about details of how many years, just some limit so we donโt have the same one for decades. SCOTUS too.
@AmerLiberal @Ocean_Cowboy
I don't think an upper limit is necessary or advisable. Voters can decide. Each person running for office is unique, and some folks are mentally/physically agile and capable into upper range. For a minimum age, I think it should be the same as voting age (18).
So 18+ should do it.
