Of course, that assumes you actually want to change behavior. Many people don't; they just want to intimidate, terrify, and humiliate other people. If that's the point, then giving people no way to escape condemnation makes a certain amount of sense; as long as you accept that you're not going to remain the hero for very long in that scenario.
It's often when we think that we're at our most righteous that we're just about to lose all of our moral standing at once.

Maybe it's time to stop using the names of more GOP politicians in news stories and on line posts. Just refer to "the current governor of Florida" or "the US Representative from the first district of Florida" without mentioning their names.

It occurs to me that Florida's insane proposed law to require bloggers who discuss their government officials to register with the state -- a law that is 100% unenforceable -- is it gets those politicians a lot of free publicity from bloggers who will talk about them just to defy the law.

Look. I know DeSantis is scary. But can we not assign him superhuman powers? How, exactly, will this "board" control anyone's content? How will this not be laughed out of court? How will it have any power over anything produced not in Florida? Outrage and fear are what sell. Wanna be woke? Be woke to this. It's much closer to the original meaning of the word from the Black community.
