I'm gonna be a little vulnerable tonight.
Sometimes I wonder what else there really is. I mean, is this all about working a job I tolerate to hopefully make enough money to not die? Maybe there is a sprinkle of money to do a few hobbies, maybe a vacation. Only for it all to be thrown into chaos if I lose my job?
It makes me feel alone. If I lose my job, society collectively says I don't deserve happiness and that kinda sucks.
@QEBrian
I hope in two years you'll be looking back on now and saying, "holy fuck, I'm glad I got out of there when I did."
A good manager does not have staff waste their energy worrying about anything but the company's core mission. Dumping anxiety on you is making you less efficient, which is hurting their productivity. That's a company that has lost its way. The consequences of poor personnel management will always arrive eventually.
