We keep getting canvassers coming to our house asking what I think the most important issue is for this election, and they all struggle when I say Democracy.
At least today's visit was from the AFL-CIO.
I've had that happen as a canvasser. A lot of people have so many issues they're concerned about that they can't articulate them.
I sometimes half-jokingly ask them if it would take less time to tell me what they're NOT concerned about.

If they're Dem canvassers they are probably using a cell phone app called MiniVAN. It has a screen for notes related to each household that the canvasser can use to document concerns. Suggest that they record it there--most campaigns read notes.
