@elbutterfield proof tfg is losing
What might save things is that Trump is now obsessed with whether people are leaving his rallies early. His security staff might actually crack down on violent supporters if the majority of attendees, especially women and families, are leaving.
I discount reports of people being paid. Anyone can post anything in Craig's LIst. Maybe a few people of color behind the stage have been paid, but there is always a small support from Trump there, and those people may be enjoying the attention and not getting that they are not respected any more than the balloons or other props.
Trump is only going places his support is strong, and there are plenty of people who will come out for the chance to say they saw a president in person.
Once they have seen him though, not many will sit through the stream of conscious blathering long. They don't want to risk having their illusions destroyed -- no fun when he does it any more than if they were to listen to us telling them facts.
@AlphaCentauri @elbutterfield I have zero idea if folks are paid for tfg. I'd honestly need to see the results of an official investigation by at the very least a decent reporter. BUT you can see that people are leaving. Really, I suspect many go from town to town to see him. But none of that matters bcuz it's his hard core base and we already know who they are.
@TrueBloodNet @elbutterfield
Yeah, if there are people who bought "season tickets" to follow the Grateful Dead city to city, I'm sure there are Trump followers retired and living in campers who do the same.
@AlphaCentauri @TrueBloodNet Oh, that's a really good thought. I had the impression that audience members were leaving because of two reasons: 1. They were paid to stay the first ten minutes for photo ops, 2. They had already been there too long waiting, and when he finally started talking it was boring.
I hadn't thought that people might be leaving out of concern for safely, but now that may be a growing concern for more than just the press.
