The US is going to purchase the number it needs. They are still storing first doses.

If a third dose prevents transmission among the vaccinated, it would go a long way to getting us back to normal. At some point we have to stop living with restrictions just to protect those whose strategy for ending the pandemic seems to be to get everyone infected as soon as possible.
