The New Yorker is a publication that lets you see a few articles, then it throws up a fairly expensive paywall. I don't read enough other things there to justify a full subscription.
Many other local media websites don't even give you any free views, or they only let you see COVID-related articles free.
I would like to support their original reporting, but I sure don't need a subscription to a newspaper in Topeka to see one article.

There is a need for a group subscription service for multiple newspapers/magazines, where you pay a subscription level and see a certain number of articles from any media in the subscription group. It might even include quality publications like the Guardian that request donations but don't have a pay wall.
It seems like if Counter.Social provided that option, and it's the only place to get it, it would attract more users here and get them to go Pro at higher contribution levels.

Yeah, but I would definitely pay more for the option, and I think there are a critical mass of other people here who also would. I would probably tend to err on the side of a higher article-per-month package just to not be bothered worrying about whether I'm going to hit paywalls at the end of the month.
@AlphaCentauri @th3j35t3r
well I definitely understand your position and it's fine, just not for me. I think it's a good idea actually.
