Good article by Laura Jadeed. Destructive organizations like Genspect deserve to be exposed.
Modern anti-trans bigotry looks like anti-gay bigotry from the 2000's. I have no respect for cisgender gay people who lived through similar hate campaigns and decided it was their turn to be the boot.

When experts talk about WS involvement in a hobby or activity, some people reflexively roll their eyes. They know non-racists who do it, ergo the experts are wrong.
Yet WS engage in hobby, career, and fandom communities like anyone else. In those spaces they typically keep their beliefs quiet until they find people who might agree with them or be open to persuasion. If they feel safe enough, the WS may evangelize in that space. Often gradually and in secret.

White Supremacist Violence and Collective Memory in Germany: A Lecture by Anna Meier
@AllisonBetus Obtaining employment with conflicting gender markers is difficult at best and impossible most often.
Forcing transgender people to carry IDs which reflect their birth gender exposes them to a great deal of risk.
Bigots will have the freedom to humiliate them and deny them service while defensibly claiming that bias has nothing to do with it. They'll be able to claim they were just making sure it wasn't a fake ID.
WTF.
Kansas is going to override all changed gender markers and revert them back to the sex assigned at birth. That means changing all birth certificates and ID. This will spread across red states.
I suggest getting copies of your BCs, no matter what state your in, even if you don't need them now.
This article is based off of a study by my co-authors and I entitled "Why do some terrorist attacks receive more media attention than others?"
We looked at news coverage of all terror attacks in the US (as defined by the Global Terrorism Database) between 2006 and 2015. Controlling for target type, fatalities, and being arrested, attacks by Muslim perpetrators received, on average, 357% more coverage than other attacks.
#ProudBoys and white nationalists are fighting.
I don't know the exact reason why at the moment, but I do know that PB are very focused on optics and now is probably not a good time for them to be seen with WN.
Violence between hate groups isn't uncommon and explosive drama is the norm.

"He appeared to view neo-Nazis and other members of the extreme far-right as living the “real” masculine ideal in its fullest form by their commitment to generating dominance through violent, radical, racial, and cultural action."

I was part of a team that was given access to transcripts of calls between #TheBase and potential recruits.
We wrote a series of articles for Voxpol to share some of what we found.

Giving a presentation can be extremely stressful, especially if an audience member seems agitated.
I figured out a trick to keep this from tripping me up: Never assume you know why a person is giving an apparently negative reaction. Just focus on what you're doing and let them sort out their feelings. There's a good chance that they just look intense or mean while they're lost in thought. A poised demeanor also discourages jerks.
I don't know of a fool-proof way to avoid sharing #misinformation #disinformation or #malinformation
I do, however, know a perfect way to ensure that you do share these things: Convince yourself you're too smart to be tricked by them.
I know the 24-hour #news cycle can make it feel like we have to post immediately to avoid being lost or left behind but remember to always double check the veracity of explosive news before posting.
If you want to reduce your risk of sharing #disinformation, do a quick search to see what other news outlets are reporting. News #media is extremely swift. If an event narrative for something huge is only coming from one or a few sources, take a closer look at where the information came from.
