@AllenChinn Yes. it's real. Mauna Loa is what is known as a shield volcano. It looks low and pretty flat, but the summit is actually at 13,679, feet! So It looks like lava is coming down a gentle hill. This lava flow is at about the 10,000 foot level. Photos are being taken upslope, from neighbor mountain Mauna Kea.
