My boss, with no software development experience or experience leading software teams, has decided without talking to any of us how long certain things should take. Surprise, my team is not hitting those deadlines. Disabusing him of this notion is not something I'm looking forward to today.
@AI78 So you're saying your boss hasn't hired, or is completely ignoring a qualified project manager?

@MakerWerks in my time I've run a software project or two. But this was his pet project so he wanted me to focus on some other things and be largely hand's off on this one. That's usually fine, I've got plenty to work on. But now that things are off the rails he's panicking. 90% of the time we get along great, but when he's stressed he lashes out a bit.
