They would all argue and debate, I liked to listen. But one day he went the fuck off about righteous judgment, human suffering was God being holy. Yada yada. Katrina was God and judgment on those people.

And meant it. I asked him, if there was a flood or fire or any calamity and he saw other people trying to survive the flood or get away from the fire etc. would he stop to help. He said, "of course"
I asked him, what gave him the right to intervene in God's divine judgment.

Their logic is illogical. Around ny 15th year of Jr. College 😂 I took a Philosophy Class, kinda surreal. I sat right in the middle of the class. To the right of me everybody, evolution, God is dead. To the left, holy rollers and Bible thumpers. One holy roller in particular made a big display of loudly putting his Bible on his desk everytime. Everytime he spoke it was draped in religiousity. I don't care. Tell me more. But holy shit the polarization was palpable.
