: From my IG not all that long ago. This every bit happens and rather often. Additionally, if people blow up at you over over effectively nothing, which is usually the case, and then learn you're autistic, they'll still be angry and dismissive because now they feel stupid or at least are embarrassed, and so they won't back off and will sometimes double-down to "save face".

: As an autistic human you get a front row seat in finding out whose understanding, tolerance, blah, blah, blah is performative, i.e. fake, and whose is genuine.
Note: You will find that far more than people want to admit more people are performative than not, and their performativity isn't only about autistics but a lot of other things and people as well. it's when you see people's behavior when they not thinking. That's what tells the true tale.
