One nagging issue with my new vehicle is that its entertainment system absolutely refuses to acknowledge my 12 year-old iPod as media, even when plugged in.
OK, well it was getting pretty wonky anyway but I will move heaven and earth to preserve my music library.

So far researched transferring it over to my Android phone. The instructions are either extremely dated (iPods are current and popular tech!) or require me to get an app.

There's also bluetooth adapters that seem reasonably priced

I'd like for a more permanent solution that doesn't require trusting the tech gods to keep the device running however

@Anarchaeologist I don't know if it helps you, but I basically ripped all my music to MP3 and saved the tracks to an SD card. That card mostly stays in my phone, which can (usually via Bluetooth) connect with all the other stuff I need it to
