I have an old 6 string electric I don't use. I've been thinking of converting it to GDG+GDG(an octave lower/higher)

Anyone know what string gauges I'd need?

Hmm. I have one I keep in Nashville tuning and they make sets for that. Perhaps that's at least a starting point to try?
