A question I see on here repeatedly is, paraphrased,"why are you still on Twitter when it profits bad people?"
Partly it's because I have a history of calling out fascism and general bigotry, and deleting my account would erase all the times I've questioned those views where it may have helped someone to see opposing views.
That assumes there are still people interested in opposing views. In my experience, all those people have #deactivated
@LnzyHou I can't believe that every person still on there is some hardcore extremist unable to countenance a view that doesn't fit with their existing beliefs.
In fact, I think believing that is a form of extremism in itself.
I get the argument about providing content for a platform owner I fundamentally disagree with, but please don't make the mistake of assuming it's not a thing that people don't think about in any depth. That implication could well say more about you than about them.
