If there's one piece of advice I'd give to any budding #guitarist, it's to keep a guitar easily accessible at all times.
Seriously, put it somewhere you can just grab it if you hear a song or get an idea, don't put it somewhere you have to make any effort to dig it out when the mood strikes you.
@66ALW99 As a longhtime musician, I agree; once I started recording and publishing my own work years ago, my instruments were never far off, and it's still that way, especially with doing session stuff as I do now.
