The world has gotten too complicated for our tiny brains. Therefore we rely on feelings that shortcut huge laps in logic. We know that feeling are no replacement for thought, but we know they are correct don't large percent of the time.

We don't know when they are wrong though.

So, I propose instead of relying on feelings when we lack all the facts, we should turn to experts and those who devoted untold months/years/decades to the study of the problem.
