I think there are three main reasons CoSo has a left tilt.
1) the user base tilted slightly left and invited their friends.
2) current policies have those going right staying where they are because their right friends are there.
3) the ultra extremists tend to use troll tactics which a) aren't tolerated here b) used against like minded people.
This will change in time. Nothing that leans too far will last.

@0x56 its 3. An owner sets (intent) the rules which we follow within the app (context). For me, context and intent are fundamental to the “freedom of speech” conversation.
This will easily—not minimizing J’s non-stop effort—succeed because a lot of people appreciate the vibe here.
@0x56 Well, I for one hope it doesn't. After dealing with the other place and its shameful mismanagement for so long, it'll be nice to relax in a situation where I don't have to be on guard.
